What is Janta Mentorship?
We recently launched an e-mentoring campaign called ‘Janta Mentorship’ to mentor students of our Educational Scholarship Program during the lockdown. It is a brainchild of Mrs. Rashmi Shah, wife of Shah Amitabh, our founder, and Chief Inspiration Officer. The initiative envisions engaging youth from remote socio-economic backgrounds as all schools and colleges remain shut due to Corona Virus. We launched it on 22nd March 2020, the day when India observed its first COVID-19 induced nationwide ‘Janta Curfew’. Over the past couple of months, the campaign has mobilized several top management people from the corporate world and other fields.
When Irfan Pathan joined us
In the wake of the ongoing global pandemic, a lot of students are finding it difficult to cope with the unforeseen crisis. Moreover, the fear of the uncertain and novel Virus seems to be adding to their dilemmas and stress levels. In these times, it is important to provide appropriate guidance and direction to these children. And hence, the Janta mentorship. In one such session curated and moderated by Amitabh Shah, former Indian cricketer and Yuva Unstoppable ambassador Irfan Pathan joined us. He mentored our students about stress management and attitude.
“Pressures are always going to build up in life, be it education or any other field. The best way to deal with it is to always stay focused on what is yet to come. Tomorrow may bring in new opportunities and hopes, it will definitely be better than today. Don’t give up”, shared the legendary cricketer during the session.
Amitabh Shah’s Views
This is what our founder Amitabh Shah says about the transformational mentorship session. “It is always a pleasure to chat with Irfan Pathan, he is an epitome of optimism. I thank him for joining us in this noble initiative and for sharing their life lessons and learnings with our students. We are sure it will help them a lot to cope with the current situation and stay focused on their goals. Together we would be able to empower many more children and youth like these in need.”
